In a radio interview, Republican gubernatorial nominee
Tom Corbett insulted hundreds of thousands of unemployed Pennsylvania workers, by saying the following:
"People don't want to come back to work while they still have unemployment. They're literally telling - I'll come back to work when the unemployment runs out. That's becoming a problem. The jobs are there, but if we keep extending unemployment the people
are just gonna sit there and...I've literally had construction companies tell me, I can't get people to come back to work, until - we'll come back when unemployment runs out."
Our families deserve a Governor who understands how to create jobs, not a Harrisburg insider who is out of touch with the issues everyday Pennsylvanians face.
Tom Corbett's claim that 'the jobs are there' is preposterous. And his insistence on blaming the victims of this economic crisis is insulting.
